Saleque Sufi:
Bangladeshi nation has glorious history, enviable, culture and tradition. It does unite on streets whenever it is confronted with serious national issues, crisis and calamities and go back home earning victories. Projonmo 2013 were forced to come out on streets and assemble at Sahabag Round about adjacent to Historic Racecourse [Suhrawardy Uddayan] to voice disapproval of a controversial ICT verdict of war criminals. These are the boys and girls most of whom were born after our glorious liberation war. They could learn very little from very inadequate but confusing history of liberation war. But they are rightly motivated with the ideals of liberation war. They possess great respect for the Liberation war heroes, language martyrs and for those endeavoring relentlessly for bringing the war crimianls and their cohorts to justice. Their initiative brought the entire nation together and forced government to amend ICT Law and making fresh resolve for stronger credible prosecution. They achieved initial milestones. Nation now understands and identifies the friends and foes. The 17 days relentless program has ushered in new hopes and aspirations for Bangladeshis nation for a vibrant future.
From a grand rally of over 100,000 they announced 6 points demand giving deadlines of 26th March and 11 points action plan. The nation immediately embraced the declaration. All war criminals now under trail and still not pursued must be brought under justice and punished. Jamati Islami and parties which directly opposed our liberation war and still threatens our freedom must be scrutinized and process must start to ban any politics based on exploitation of religion. Criminals and killers who butchered 4 activists recently must be arrested and brought under justice. Medias, blogs, individuals and organizations which are spreading malice and evil propaganda against projonmo 2013 and liberation war must be scrutinized and brought under state vigilance. All source of evil money flow of anti-liberation force – Banks, Insurance Companies, Hospitals, Clinics. Educational Institutions, Coaching Centers, and leasing Companies must be brought under state control. Agents of anti-liberation forces planted in different government and semi government organizations including police, Army, Government offices, Foreign Office must be identified and removed.
All these above may not be accomplished immediately but process must start. Bangladesh earned through supreme sacrifice of millions must not continue to tolerate anti-liberation forces continue to threaten its existence and hatch conspiracies. The war heroes fought for a land based on four fundamental ideals –Democracy, Secularism, Socialisms and Nationality. Our unique constitution of 1972 was based on all these. We must reinstate all basic principles of 1972 constitutions .We must return to Joy Bangla Culture of working hands in hands for building “Sonar Bangla” where all irrespective of religion, culture and creed will enjoy equal democratic rights. Bangladeshi will be the only identity. All heroes of the past and present must be honored, admired and adored. There must be transparent and effective judiciaries to ensure justice of all corruptions, terrorist’s acts. There must be very transparent policies for recruitment of brilliant youth force in various government jobs to practice and project our glorious national identity at home and abroad.
We are on the cross road and threshold of history. Out brilliant youth has initiated this wave of self-realization. We now are imbued with the same feelings which united us in 1971 .We must not let the opportunity slip away. We won liberation on 16th December 1971. But we liberation war projonmo started losing our ways from that very day. Realize how many leading war heroes were eliminated from infighting and conspiracies against them. But leading anti-liberation force was adored with milk and honey. Like obnoxious weeds they grew in geometric progression. We do not want to lose again. This is a must win battle .Insha Allah we will overcome someday.
