Solar irrigation pumps to be installed in northern, southern districts About 22 solar irrigation pumps will be installed in the country’s northern and southern region under the private sector.

Study reveals high demand for solar home systems The use of solar panels gained momentum in the recent years, revealed a study of the state-owned Bangladesh Institute of Development Studies (BIDS).

Agriculture Minister Matia Chowdhury recently said the cost of solar irrigation must be reduced substantially before any expansion in the country.
