The two-day technical meeting of Bangladesh and Myanmar on the delimitation of maritime boundary ended inconclusive as the parties failed to narrow down their differences on a number of issue including the process of demarcation in the Bay of Bengal and unimpeded passage for Yangon in the Naf river.

Bangladesh Govt. Moves to Remove High Court Bar on Onshore Bidding

Petrobangla will now move to the Supreme Court's Appellate Division for removing the High Court-slapped bar on the bidding for lease of onshore hydrocarbon blocks.  Petrobangla chairman Jalal Ahmed Monday disclosed the move at a press briefing.
IOC's are Very Keen to Participate in the Offshore Gas Exploration in Bangladesh

A total of 12 IOCs had one-one interactions with them and all were found to be very keen to participate in the bidding process. The IOCs include BP Exploration of the UK, Conco Philips of the USA, CNOOC International of China, Luxon Global of Korea, Nippon Oil of  Japan, ONGC Videsh of India, Santos Limited of Australia, STAT Oil of Norway, Tullow and Perl Energy of Singapore.
