State Minister for Science and Technology Yeafesh Osman has said that a nuclear power plant will be set up in Labanchhara in south-western district of Khulna. He said the Chinese government has shown their interest to build the nuclear power station in Bangladesh’s south-western region.
The government has already taken a decision to establish the country’s second nuclear power station in Khulna and Labanchhara has primarily been selected as the site of the plant, he said.

PDB signs deal with Indian company on Sikalbaha plant
