The cabinet today decided to extend the "Power and Energy Quick Supply (special provision) Act" for more four years to ensure uninterrupted power and energy supply in the country keeping pace with growing demand.
The approval was given in the regular meeting of the cabinet held at Bangladesh Secretariat with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair.
