Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) has re-fixed the price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) at Taka 891 for a 12 kg cylinder at retailer level.
“The newly fixed price of LPG will be effective from tomorrow (July 1) and all licensed LPG marketing companies will implement the price,” Chairman of BERC Md Abdul Jalil said this at a press briefing on virtual platform.
Announcing the new price of LPG, he said the BERC also re-fixed auto gas price at 44 per liter, while per kilogram of LPG at Taka 74.24 at retailer level including VAT.
According to the BERC decision, new price at retailer level owned by private sector, 12.5 kg LPG has been fixed at Taka 928 at retailer level, 15 kg at Taka 1,114, 16 kg at Taka 1,188, 18 kg at Taka 1,337, 20 kg at Taka 1,485, 22 kg at Taka 1,633, 25 kg at Taka 1,856, 30 kg at Taka 2,228, 33 kg at Taka 2,451, 35 kg at Taka 2,599 and 45 kg at Taka 3,341.
According to the BERC details, the price of LPG $530 and $525 per ton was fixed for June 2021 by Saudi Contract Price (Saudi CP) as per Propane and Butane ratio 35:65. The Saudi CP price was fixed $526.75 per ton considering the ration between Propane and Butane average.
The BERC chairman said the newly fixed price of LPG will be effective from July 1 and all licensed LPG bottle marketing companies will implement the price.
