French engineering company Alstom yesterday handed over a high-capacity power transformer to Power Grid Company of Bangladesh Limited for the Bibiyana II 420 KV substation in Bangladesh.
Bangladesh’s Deputy High Commissioner to India Mahbub Hassan Saleh officially received it at a function at Naini near Allahabad in northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.
The transformer was manufactured at Alstom T&D India’s state-of-the-art facility at Naini, one of the oldest manufacturing units of the company since 1957, according to a press release issued by the company.
