Bangladesh-India Friendship Power Company (Pvt.) Limited (BIFPCL) on the occasion of its 7th Raising Day organizes “Blood Donation Camp”. The blood donation camp was organized in association with Bangladesh Red Crescent Society at Maitree Super Thermal Power Project (MSTPP) site on 4th November, 2019. About 250 blood bags were collected and will be useful for saving precious lives across the country. The blood donors were from BIFPCL, BHEL & its sub vendors like Afcon, Keller, UDC, NS Construction,Simplex, Power Mech, etc.The event was graced by Mr. SC Pandey, Project Director (MSTPP), Md. Rezaul Karim, Deputy Project Director (MSTPP), Mr. D K Dubey, General Manager (Project),MrRavindra Kumar, Chief Technical Officer and other senior dignitaries.
Earlier on 31st October, 2019, Bangladesh-India Friendship Power Company (Pvt.) Limited (BIFPCL) celebrated its 7th Raising Day by planting 14000 trees at Maitree Super Thermal Power Project site.
Bangladesh-India Friendship Power Company (Pvt.) Limited (BIFPCL) has been contributing significantly for the Community and Social Development in RampalUpazila of BagerhatDistrict. The various initiatives taken by the company are:
(i) Free medical camp with free medicines at Site and different union premises. In the medical camps, approx. 45000 villagers have benefited so far.
(ii) Skill training in the area of sewing for women & computer training for youths
(iii) Science laboratory enrichment at colleges
(iv) Water Treatment Plant at villages for local villagers
(v) Educational kit, water bottle, umbrella, etc., distribution in school & colleges
(vi) Water filter distribution in 15 schools & 04 colleges
(vii) Blanket distribution to poor villagers
(viii) Wheel chairs distribution among differently abled people
(ix) Football tournament for all Unions of Rampal
(x) Stipends to meritorious students
(xi) Drawing and essay competition among all schools & colleges
(xii) Blood donation camp
BIFPCL believes in development of society and plans to start other initiatives like, Boat Medical Camp, Cataract operation for needy people, Infrastructure and developmental works at nearby villages, etc.
