BIPPA Represent 47% of nation’s installed power

At the third Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Bangladesh Independent Power Producers’ Association (BIPPA) the President of BIPPA Mohammad Latif Khan thanked the government of Bangladesh for the policy support that enabled Independent Power Producers (IPP) to contribute contribute 47% of nation’s installed power generation capacity of about 20,000 MW. The annual report and upcoming fiscal year’s budget of BIPPA were also approved at the AGM.

BIPPA was formed in 2015, a trade organisation that represents fifty Independent Power Producers (IPPs) of the country. BIPPA is committed to sustainable production and uninterrupted distribution of electricity, an essential service for the nation’s progress and development.

Vice-Chairman of Summit Group and BIPPA President Mohammad Latif Khan, Vice-President (Finance) Imran Karim, Vice-President Gulam Rabbani Chowdhury, Vice-President Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Engr. Abdul Wadud and Secretary General Abdul Halim are seen along with the Board of Directors and the members of BIPPA at the third Annual General Meeting of Bangladesh Independent Power Producers’ Association (BIPPA) held on November 19, 2018 at Four Points by Sheraton, Dhaka.
