Most of 24 trapped Nicaraguan gold miners have been freed after a mine collapse. Officials said, the BBC report says on Saturday. The miners were slightly dehydrated but otherwise in good health said Deputy Interior Minister Carlos Najjar. It is not known if the remaining miners have been located yet. Several lakh people have been marooned. Flood situation in the country has deteriorated further as fresh areas were engulfed by flood water due to rise of water levels in all major rivers during the past couple of days.
