A study report released by Greenpeace, a global environmental organization, on Friday revealed that a mega coal -fired power plant on the edge of Sundarban could cause premature deaths of around 6,000 people over its lifetime. The Bangladesh government and the World Bank have signed a $113 million agreement to modernise weather forecasting and early warning systems.
