Bangladesh will get 100 MW electricity from Tripura on 16th December. Sheikh Hasina, prime minister of Bangladesh, and Narandra Modi, Prime minister of India, will inaugurate the power transmission through video conferencing. Recently it was discussed in a secretary-level bilateral meeting placed in India. Additional secretary of Bangladesh power department Dr. Ahmed Kaekause inform this.
Power secretary of Bangladesh Monowar Islam and Power secretary of India Prodip Kumar Sinha lead the meeting for their respective side. 47 km power transmission line installation is almost done. All technical support for the transmission will be done before 16 December.
