The government is going to revise its power system master plan by setting separate timeframe for implementing the power projects as the private sector sponsors have failed to commission the mega projects on time, an official said.
The revised master plan would fix up the deadlines to implement the individual power plants and though it has already been delayed, he said, adding, the revised plan would also mention the amount of fuel that each of the power projects could use.
The Power Division, which is working to supply electricity to all by the year 2021, would immediately start the task of revising the plan, he said. About the revision of the master plan, State Minister for Power and Energy Nasrul Hamid on 24th February said the government would revise the existing power system master plan soon. He said the Power Division would also include the Energy and Mineral Resources Division to overcome the fuel crisis of the proposed power plants.
The revised maser plan would also recommend supply of electricity in different villages across the country, he said.
