The 1,320 MW maitree super thermal power project in Rampal, Bangladesh, being devoloped by Bangladesh india Friendship power Company lit (BIFPCL) is expected to stsrt electricity generation by December 2018. During the meeting of BIFCL’s board Satarday in kolkata, the members emphasised the need to commission the unit of the project by december 2018, according to a statement issued by NTPC. The meeting, chaired by Bangladesh Power Secretary Monowar Islam, was attended by NTPC Chairman and Managing Director Arup Roy Choudhury.
