Reliance Bangladesh LNG & Power Limited has celebrated the World Environment Day-2023 on 5th June with the theme “Solution to Plastic Pollution” to make the global campaign #BeatPlasticPolution successful. They organized tree plantation programs inside and around the project area and participated in the rally organized by the office of District Commissioner- Narayanganj and distributed tree saplings.
To create awareness among students and local people, they organized quiz competition, creative product making competition usingused plastic and tree plantation program in three schools around the project (Meghna Ideal School, Little Flower School and Islampur Primary School). Attractive prizes were distributed to encourage the participants in the said competition and program.
Besides, as a part of cleanliness drive, internal cleanliness campaignwas organized within the project. The employees of the organization along with the officials fromthe contractor Samsung C&T Corporation and other sub-contractors participated in the campaign.
The initiatives were well supported and appreciated by the local community, schools, Govt. offices and local Police Station.
